Woods Blows Away Nondies Batting
Great Tew opening bowler Matthew Woods blew away the Nondies first teams top order as the home team batting again badly misfired as they were bowled out for only 88. After electing to bat on a a wickets still showing the effects of the wet weather Nondies soon found themselves at 19-3, after some poor shot selection and a run out. Things never improved as Woods worked his way through the rest of the batting with only Ayaz Khan 24 and Zia Hamed 20* offering any resistance. Woods finishing with 7-31.
Nondies got an ealy breakthrough when Ross Brown took a wicket with his second ball and a second soon followed when Ayaz had White caught behind. However, Ross pulled up with a groin strain and Gross and Slatter were happy to adopt a risk free strategy and wait for the bad ball as skipper Strong swapped his bowlers looking for another breakthrough. Their partnership of 68 saw Tew home without to many alarms for a 8 wicket victory. SCORECARD
Nondies 2's Win at Cropredy
The second team followed up their opening day win with a comprehensive vicory over Cropredy. Inserting the home team on a wet wicket the Nondies opening attack of Matthew White and Tauqir Ahmed caused carnage as the home team slumped to 18-6. A partial recovery saw them to a final total of 53, with White 4-13 and Ahmed 3-16 sharing the bowling honours.
In their response Nondies lost Kamran and Benson early but skipper Chris Day decided to leave nothing to chance as he and Rupert Taylor saw the visitors home in the tenth over for an 8 wicket win. Chris finishing unbeaten on 28.
Nondies 4th Team Ease Past Didcot
An inexperienced Nondies 4th team anialated a young Didcot 4th team at Jordan Hill. The visitors could score only 45, with 4 wickets each for Sam Butler and debutant James Vickers. Haroon blasted a quick 30 as Nondies made short work of their task for a 10 wicket rout.

The club will subsidise the cost of the course in return for your committment to help with the youth coaching programme. If you are interested please contact me (mailto:jbrown1uk@yahoo.com) and we will try and get you on the courses.
