Introducing Nondies Overseas Player for 2010
This year we will again be welcoming a Kiwi to Oxfordshire. Following Jez Liddy's successful 2 year spell with Nondies we look forward to the arrival in April of Simon Wood. Simon is from Auckland, where he plays for the University Ellerslie Club and is a top order left handed batsman. Simon, although only 21, has extensive coaching experience and has been running coaching programmes at his club in Auckland. Simon will be working and staying at Ashfold School under the eye of his club captain, Mark Strong. We look forward to his arrival and I am sure that you will all ensure he has as much enjoyment as his predecessors.
Under 17's Youth Team
Nondies will be for the first time fielding a team in the U17 competition this coming season. This is to provide competitive cricket for those boys who have come through the youth section and are now to old for the U15 side, previously the most senior age group. This is in addition to the teams that will be competing in the under 11, under 13 and under 15 group league and cup competitions. This commitment to youth cricket is central to our strategy but needs additional volunteers to manage it. We need your help now!
Coaching Courses 2009/2010
We need to get more senior players from within the club qualified as ECB Level 2 coaches. Currently we have insufficient coaches to meet the demand from boys cricket. This could be the opportunity for you to make a difference, the club will provide financial assistance and you can find details via the following web link. www.oxoncb.com/coaching/coaching-courses
