Tom Bilyard - 1st XI captain
The club is delighted to have appointed Tom Bilyard as 1st team captain for the 2008 season. A reliable opening batsmen, we are unsure how long he has been at the club due to an unspecified number of games played in the Haynes XI, according to Andy "not looking like a 2nd team player"! He was right, since being given his chance in 2006, Tom has been a permanent fixture in the 1st XI. Tom has shown his commitment to his new role by purchasing a new car and Stanners is already looking forward to being picked up from Bicester by his new captain for every match (if selected).
Tom was born in Canterbury on 21st May 1980. He is a DPhil student at Balliol College, Oxford studying Life Sciences. His current areas of interest are quoted as Molecular Motors (Bacterials Flagella, ATP Sythase), Membrane Proteins and Protein Self-Assembly.
